Eula Dell White

March 7, 1943 — December 4, 2023

Eula Dell White (80), a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and cherished member of the Leland community peacefully transitioned to her eternal Heavenly home Monday, December 4th, 2023 surrounded by many of her loved ones. She was born on March 7, 1943 and lived a life full of love, laughter, and service to others.

Eula is preceded by her parents Daniel Burris Ward and Essie Leola Jenrette Ward. She is survived by her 2 siblings - Sherrel Stewart and Judy Philip; her 4 children - Sonya Sellers, Robbie Sellers, Candy Sellers, and Yvette Williams; her 7 grandchildren - Shineka, Amber "Mariah", Danielle, Morgan, Trey, Seth, and Scooter; her 9 great grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends

Though Eula didn't graduate from a prestigious college, retire from a corporate enterprise, or wasn't a member of a local club, or even currently a member of a specific local denominational church, she was a proud part of the one thing that matters most, the Body of Christ.

Eula's talents were many and great. At any given time, you could catch her in the middle of one of her spontaneous projects. Whether she was crafting, sewing, cooking, gardening, or rigging up her own handmade household tool out of random items, she would always have something going on. She had a love for music and never turned down the chance to sing, dance, or play her tambourine if the opportunity presented itself. Her admiration and care for plants, flowers, and animals were second to none. She was "sharp as a tack" and always wanted to put her wits to the test by learning new things, reading books, doing puzzles, or challenging others to a friendly card or board game, such as Scrabble.

Above all else, it was her love for people that those around her will remember most. She never met a stranger, and anyone she met would immediately fall in love with her warm, friendly, outgoing personality. She was a beacon of strength and resilience, a haven for many, and a place of comfort and joy where friends and family were always welcome. She was truly one of a kind!

Eula will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, kindness, and acceptance will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

A celebration of Eula's life will be held Wednesday, December 13th at 12:30pm at Waterford Community Clubhouse in Leland. The family would like to take this time to express our deepest thanks to the Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center (specifically the ICU doctors and nurses) and the Lower Cape Fear Hospice for their wonderful help and care given.

Eula White, a good fight fought, a race finished, a faith kept, a crown of righteousness received.
