Miasha Zhané Gibbs

Miasha Zhané Gibbs, born on October 14, 1993, in Wilmington, NC, passed away on December 31, 2023. She was the beloved daughter of Jeremy Gibbs (Shanequa) and Rita Canty. Miasha was the loving sister of JameShia Graham and Amari Givens. She was the cherished granddaughter of Francis (deceased) and Lucy Canty, Alice Moten, and Donald Salter (deceased). Miasha also leaves behind five uncles, five aunts, and a host of nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Miasha attended public school in New Hanover County and graduated from John T Hoggard High School in 2012. During her time there, she actively participated in several clubs and organizations, including cheerleading. Her vibrant and infectious smile would light up any room she entered, making her a joy to be around.

After high school, Miasha pursued her education at ECU, initially studying accounting. However, she later decided to follow her true passion in culinary arts. Her dedication and talent in the kitchen were admired by all who tasted her creations.

Miasha will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her memory will forever be cherished, and her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.

A celebration of life will be held at New Beginning Christian Church (3120 Alex Trask Dr, Castle Hayne, NC 28429), on January 6, 2023. We will start with a meet and greet 1:30 PM, followed by a service at 2:30 PM.
