CARY - Peggy Lee Hair, 89, died peacefully on August 10, 2022 at home with her daughter and son-in-law in Cary NC. She was born in and lived most of her life in Clinton, NC.
She saw a lot of changes in her life and adapted to them all with ease and acceptance. She exemplified fortitude, humility, kindness and grace and never had a harsh word for anyone. Everywhere she went, someone singled her out to tell her how beautiful she was… she was beautiful inside and out and will be sorely missed.
Born into a family with eleven children, Peggy is preceded in death by her parents James Lloyd and Luberta Bass Lee, eight of her siblings and her son Perry McConnell.
She is survived by her beloved daughter and best friend Judy McConnell Lyons (Noel) of Cary, sisters Ann Robinson of Clinton and Dixie Lee of Raleigh, grandson Drew McConnell (Rebecca) of Clinton, her many nieces and nephews, cousins, great-granddaughters Mckenzie and Maxleigh, daughter-in-law Sheree McConnell of Clinton, and many loving friends. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
